Cleaning rod size for 6.5cm?

Hey guys. Was sold a .27 caliber cleaning rod for 6.5cm barrel. Seems to fit ok but wanted to know you’re thoughts on this. Too big?

Thanks.

I would say that the rod diameter is too large.

6.5mm equates to 0.264 caliber.

On the rod that Boretech recommends for 6.5mm, the diameter is 0.195.

Proshot also list two different rod sizes for those .22 -.26 Cal and .27 Cal.

What rod exactly? Is it “up to .27” or .27? The 6.5 is a .264 so if it’s .27 it shouldn’t fit down the bore.

The rod fits. I would describe it as mild contiguous contact as I push it through. Just don’t wanna damage/stress the bore.

Yeah I would not use that rod. It's a .27 and up so a little smaller than .27 to fit down it and too snug for a .264. Also being a steel rod I wouldn't use it as it can damage the bore. Get something like a Dewey coated or Tipton Carbon fiber rod. .22 to .26 caliber.
