Coating on surgeon actions

Contemplating purchasing a surgeon xL single shot for a norma build but I am unfamiliar with the finished surface.

I see a lot are coated with cerakote however I don’t like cerakote inside my actions. Are there any other options on how to finish these actions....polishing the surface, nitrided , DLC...etc

I sent my short action to Josh at PVA and have it DLC coated. It came out perfect.

I have never had an action coated like this but I have used DLC on race car parts that see friction and it has worked out very well in the specific instances i have used it. I would think it would hold up well in an action as well.

Surgeon Action are ION NItride Hardened so they recommend cerakote anything thing else they state will void the warranty.
