My wife just sent me this link about a reserve Army CPT who got foreclosed on while he was deployed. These kind of stories make me sick.

How much you want to bet that an HOA board member or one of their friends bought the house @ the stated price, then flipped it, then kept their own house with the money (having previously been about to lose it due to non-payment of the actual mortgage)? ... or something similar.

This wasn't cold-hearted, it was deliberate misuse of the law, probably for personal gain.

sickening is not strong enough word for this travesty, there has to be some way to reverse this BS, i would think that the HOA failure to notify Capt. Michael Clauer and his wife is reason enough to reverse this theft of their property.


i once lived in a HOA, i and 3 other folks bought our houses BEFORE the HOA was formed, the HOA tried to extort dues from us a lawyer friend of mine stepped in took it to court and the judge ruled, "Grand Father Clause" and the 5 of us never had to pay the HOA bastards, the ruling also exempted any future owners of said properties
