Color code for dummy rounds?

Hey all, I have some dummy 308 and 223 rounds and I wanted to color code them for easy ID. I figured I may as well use NATO designation, if there is one. But I can't seem to find any reference for dummy rounds - only AP, incendiary, etc.

So, anyone know what standard practice/coloration is for dummy/inert rounds?

Thanks!

Re: Color code for dummy rounds?

Some are (or were) gold. Blue could be an inert projectile loaded in a live round.

My knowledge is a little dated.

True, also holes drilled in the sides of the cases.
