Color Me Stupid

I started annealing some cases today and had to stop after only getting 7 or so completed. I shut the propane off and went and took care of what was going on upstairs. (Kids) I get back to my annealing project and the torch won’t light. If I hold a lighter up to the gas it will burn but as soon as I remove the flame the torch goes out. It was a brand new bottle when I started. I just don’t believe that I am out of gas after a few minutes of annealing. Does anyone have any idea what could be going on?

Try a new bottle first.
Could torch head could have a leak.
Jet in nozzle could be partially blocked.

Can you hear gas hissing? If you run the gas too high it will blow out the flame before it catches. Try barely turning the gas on and getting it started, then turn it up to where you need it once lit.

I just tried another bottle and it won’t ignite either. I must have a problem with the torch.
