Sidearms & Scatterguns Colt 1911 made in 1913 Value

I'm am thinking about working out a trade for a Colt 1911 made in 1913. Gun appears to be in very good condition. Has US property on one side of frame and model 1911 US army on the slide. Bluing looks very good. I can send pics to anyone that may be an expert. The owner is saying about $2500 value. Does that sound about right. From my internet research seems about right. Serial number is in the 20,000's. Thanks.
