Colt 901 questions

Anyone know what the process is for a barrel change on the new Colt LE901? I am guessing it must need some sort of proprietary wrench, but I don't recall seeing anything mentioned anywhere.

The other thing I was wondering is - Is it a unique BCG or does it match up to either the Armalite or DPMS/SR25 BCGs?

Not really looking to get one, I was just wondering . . .

Thanks

Re: Colt 901 questions

I would guess yes, as the 5.56 mono upper is proprietary and requires a special tool. Contact these guys for definitive info:

specialized armament

As far as the BCG, I have handled one but am unsure if it is the KAC pattern. Only unique feature I noticed was the spring on the firing pin.

The firing pin spring is a ArmaLite feature, it is used on both the A and B models.

So after doing some reading it seems that I've changed my mind in purchasing a SIG 716. The LE901 is a better choice IMO. That said, a Geissele trigger will work, however a Magpul MIAD grip with the "beaver tail" won't fit,but needs "modding" . The vortex is a 5/8-11? and can be replaced with a standard hider like a AAC Blackout?
