conversion to 338 lapua

can a remy or savage long action be swapped over to a 338 lapua or does that take a special length action

It can be done.

Some people question the safety margin, other have shot many rounds with no problem.

Hopefully one of the more knowledgeable people will show up with a better answer

I would not use a .700" bolt for a case that large.

i guess what i am wondering is if the reciever is long enough
is the 300 ultramag recievers longer than the 300 win mag
