I have an Armalite Soper SASS that needs an up-grade! I just bought this rifle and am running a Nikon Monarch 2.5-10 on it for now.
I have been looking over the counter sniper line of glass and was thinking about this line for the sass.
Anyone have any pros or cons on this line?

Mrhog...this glass is only for secret squirrel mall ninjas operators and is a controlled item use extreme caution and wear a cup, double earplugs, balaclava, and light three Santeria candles for best results.

we all also had to get butt secksed about using the search too. really, use the search and you will see how lucky you are to have just gotten this much flak. you are much better off with that nikon. welcome to the hide.

i guess you meant super sass, but the O is so far away from the
U, i wasnt sure if this thread was a prank or not. really, this topic on that crap scope comes up so often, you never know if its a regular pulling everyones chain.

This topic really comes up so many times it is not funny anymore. Use the search function and you will see all the similar posts that get scorched.

In short: this optic sucks and they make ridiculous claims to try and sell the stuff. Only fit for shooting at it, not with it

Counter sniper is roughly equivalent to BSA or Barska.

It is marginally better than taking the tube from a roll of paper towels, painting it black, and mounting that instead. I say, "marginally" because the bright white lettering of the "Government property" stamp of the counter sniper will get more mall ninja awards at the range than the paper towel tube will. But the paper towel tube will perform better.


Buy something real.

There is a fella here named PistolPete. If you ask nice he will give you the link to his photobucket account to look at his, you will need to disregard the ones of them hanging out of his pooper and all the man on man porn so if you don't mind that its good. He prefers the larger ocular because when he inserts them sideways he gets more friction.

PS. If you take any of the positive statements seriously you should be shot...

They are about as useful to a rifle as mounting an Apple iTouch to the side of it....

these counter sniper threads are getting people less pissed off than usual recently , its nearly no fun looking at them any more, could it be a side affect of the unobtanium bertrillium and rare earth combination

ive never seen one of the better brand name scopes in that catalog. all they have is a line up of osprey, barska, BSA, federal, NC star, FM (famous maker). ok i spotted a pentax, nikon monarch and eotech too. but still...this months covergirl is the 10-40x56 at $2,294 of retail. folks we cant go any lower. now why cant nightforce or USO or S&B have a sale like that? because they sell at full price and actually work i guess, lol

I will be honest, I haven't bought anything from SG for probably 10 years. It just so happened that when I bought my first AR they had Colt MG uppers for sale in there. I'm not sure why I thought I needed it, but I did. So I scooped it up for 700 bones. Its the wacky Colt MFG water cooled upper with the big square hand guard. While it was not a deal back then, you can't find one now.

I'm going to go check out SGs website. I gotta see an ad where CSO headlines!!!

I can't understand why Piston Pete hasn't added anything yet?
I like this guy who asked the question this time. He asked got all the comments needed and changed his mind. At least he didn't already buy it then try to make it out like everyone else is just jealous of his bad ass scope.

What I REALLY hope for right now is that if I EVER find myself in a situation where any LEO sniper needs to take a shot passing anywhere near my person...a CS scope is not, nor has ever been, anywhere near that rifle...
