Coup De Grâce, New Action from American Rifle Company, $899 WOW!

What I don’t know is how you got to the end of this thread without reading the first fucking post where the creator explained why he named it that?
I read it!
A rifle named after war criminals and murderers! Fuckin unbelievable!

The "ememy" are, and have been in some cases are wounded Americans!

Wounded on the battlefield waiting for evacuation/ rescue.
Screaming they do not want to die as they are being bayoneted or shot by NVA, a few hiding in the tall grass hoping not to be found...listening to the screams of fellow American soldiers. Yeah! The ultimate evil fuckin coward, really unbelievable!

Like what the fuck, man.
The name screams out weak cowardice war criminals, thugs, and murderers.

You are not God, this is not mercy... but the brutal cold blooded murder of helpless human beings.

Like engraving Auschwitz on your reciever, with a proud Nazi symbol...along with a burning American flag.

You have the freedom to name it anything ya want, but I have the freedom to call you out on this bullshit.
And not buy your product no matter how good it may or may not be. The name killed it for me.
And mock the dumb asses who think this shit is cool! But it actually exposes your real character.

You are so fucking funny sometimes. On the rag over the name of something? Do you need a safe space because you are too triggered? It sounds like it.

Anyway, 😂😂🤣😂🤣😂

While I see where you might get your point of view from if you don't understand the etymology of the word.

The actual phrase is an old French phrase and was in use LONG before there was even this thing called "America" and also came from back in the days where there was NONE of this "modern medicine" thing, oh and no pain meds either for the common soldiers.
Back then you had the choice, hope to die quickly or enjoy dying in agony.
Things that you get rushed to the hospital for and get all fixed back up today, meant a slow agonizing death back 300 years ago.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again - there needs to be an option on the forum to put a little tag next to users of your choice.. This way you don’t need to ignore them, but it’s just a reminder that they’re a fucking spud and to take their opinions on anything with a grain of salt.

It can be tiring trying to remember who all the retarded blokes are.

See, this is why we shouldn’t treat PTSD with psylocybin mushrooms

that, and I'm continually reminded that some people should have a Blow-n-Go on their keyboard/device 😉

That might be a good app for someone to develop... kinda like the alarm clock apps that force you to do increasingly difficult math problems to snooze/dismiss the alarm, we need a sobriety check app that won't let people post online until they've came down off whatever they are on.

But that'd cut the Bear Pit posts by 90%... 🤣

He makes a very good troll, don’t you think! I’m fairly impressed. 🫤

Maybe he should lighten up and just do what we do. Call it the Cut De Grass action. Seems more suhthin’ like.

Personally I don’t care if you call your action Humpty Dumpty. If it works well, and I can afford it as a confirmed poor, I’ll buy it and use the hell out of it.

I appreciate it fellas. I'm going to just see if I can send it in. I usually don't complain about anything but it's enough to be annoying.
For whatever it is worth, I noticed the same issues on mine. Not nearly as slick as an Apollo action. Love the action, will not trade it for what it gives me, but I would love to be able to cycle it without binding in the rear.

Man, I'm in the same boat. I love the action and the company. I don't particularly care for that design of the bolt body riding the bolt stop, the Aero Solus is similar. But either way, it's an awesome action.

I've even considered taking the bolt stop out and going to see if I can round those 90⁰ edges down or smooth them out. Worst case have to buy a new bolt stop.

You see the point kinda, caues you know it’s disgustingly true...don't try to sugar coat it with the orgin of the word, and 300 yrs ago bullshit.
It's more prominent today by far than ever before.
Murdering prisoners of war and killing the wounded...by the millions.in most cases act of hatred, terror, and elimination not mercy...that's just to try to justify murder.
It's everywhere on planet except Antarctica.
Even viewed on national TV during the Vietnam War. 200,000 prisoners disappeared.

Only count the number of wounded and prisoners that arrive...not the ones that were captured initially and were murdered.
MGR... is it dead.
Seal team cheif charged with murder of 17 yr old wounded ISIS fighter. Turns out another team member stabbed the wounded ISIS fighter....but it didn't go well for them in a long legal battle...for just one incident reported...and a blackeye for the Navy seals.

Modern medical procedures and helicopter medical transport has nothing to do with it.

We murder the wounded & prisoners they murder the wounded & prisoners, now more than ever.

A lot of severe combat mental illness comes from this practice...causing many to kill themselves...and you all know it.

This disgusting practice of murder, terrorism, and inhumanity need not be engraved on my rifle reciever as if it were something positive.

When it's the most evil part of humanity, and so damaging to humanity.

You really do not survive this type of insanity from what I've seen of our side...they went too far into the darkness of evil, never to return to who they once were.

They can never really lead a normal life, they are faking it, barely getting by, so you might think they are somewhat normal, medication and all...most die early.

It mentally hurts to talk to them.
After years it got to the point, I can't do it anymore, when they start to go emotional, where their insanity lies, it's real, it's dark, and it's deep. Death is the only way out for so many... and yes he's dead.

Many will try to kill themselves, many will succeed.
That IS the reality...of murdering, torturing, the wounded and your prisoners.
While the otherside is doing the same, up close and very personal, as if combat is not bad enough by itself, this just adds the worst layer of severe brutality such that the insanity grips most forever.

Being a long time hunter and a Vietnam veteran I always thought of the name used for this nice rifle action, meant ending the suffering of a harvested animal that is still alive. How all this got stuck of murder and war and public unrest in a thread about an action seems strange. So, let’s get back to the action. (Nice pun huh?).

Our son is planing on building a new PRS rifle and has been high on the Coup de Grace action. So, is the bolt riding on the bolt stop a serious issue or an issue of the bolt’s action not being as smooth as it could be?

If this is old stuff please redirect me back to the post where this started. Thanks

To add another data point, I had the same issue with binding especially at the rear. I also narrowed it to the bolt stop because running the bolt with it removed was super smooth. ARC told me to send it in and addressed it and it's much better now.

The issue in my case was the bolt stop spring was too stiff and was causing the bolt stop to press hard on the bolt.
