It took me at least 10 calls before I got through to someone at Berger. I was talking to Andrea on the phone and she said it was non-stop so far. It's so tempting to buy all the 7mms up.

Re: Crazy Berger Bullet Sale

I called and talked to someone other than the person that handles the orders and she said the person that handles them is out at lunch and that they would call me back, but they havent. Darn, I was really hoping I could try out some different loads for my gun.

I'm about 35 phone calls so far since the place opened. I only left one message, but I'm still trying.

EDIT:

It took me about 45 calls to get through, Teresa was very helpful. She's going to run through what's available still with my list in hand and then call me back to get my CC info and the exact numbers of what will be shipped.

Between the Midway blemish sale and this, I'm covered for about 2 full seasons now, I'm pretty happy.

Re: Crazy Berger Bullet Sale

I'm not sure if I'll get anything, I spoke to them again and Teresa said that they're trying to get the orders into the computer, but by the end of yesterday almost everything was gone already.

I'm hoping for at least SOME of the 7mm's to try out.

Re: Crazy Berger Bullet Sale

I am pretty interested in what these 182gr XLRs look like and how well they will perform. I just so happen to still have stock pile of the 180gr JLKs, 180gr Berger VLD Target and 175SMK to test them against.

Please post pics when you get them.

Which one is which? The 175gr SMK is by far the easiest one to pick out of the bunch.

Close:

182gr Berger XLR 180gr Berger VLD Match moly 180gr JLK 175gr SMK

Visually, the 180gr Bergers and JLKs are very hard to tell them apart.. especially when you have them loaded and in the ammo box.

Re: Crazy Berger Bullet Sale

Kraig,

I know someone who has and they're awesome in a standard 1:10 twist for .257 ROberts. Dang it I wanted to get some of those. Oh well not the first deal I've missed.

Re: Crazy Berger Bullet Sale

I just got off the phone with Berger, my order was shipped, lost by UPS, then delivered to the wrong address, etc. but Teresa was exceptionally helpful.

They still had another 1600 of the 7mm 180gr XDR, the new Hybrid so I picked them up as well.

I felt a little bad leaving 600 on the shelf to sit, but I don't really need 2600 of them, even 2000 of them will be quite a bit for the next 2 years.

I'm sure I can figure out what to do with them though

EDIT: They still have moly'd 90 VLD's in 22cal, 60gr 6mm BR bullets from the sale left. I don't shoot moly, nor can I stabilize a 90 VLD or I'd be all over them.

I have enough 180gr 7's now to torch the new barrel that's sitting in the wrapper for my 280 build...
