Got a buddy I helped put together an economy rig for him to check of a bucket list item ( shoot 1 mile ). Its on a Savage 12 target action ( with orange accutrigger ) stockade stock , pt&g bolt head & criterion prefit. Its a 7rem mag , 30" / 8twist ( chambered by criterion but I throated it longer ). Nosler brass, h1000, cci250 & 197smk . its doing sub .4 every time from 800-1150yds. Gonna stretch it to 1500 then on the mile hopefully this Sunday morn. Criterion prefit shoots GREAT

Criterion are easily the best barrels I have ever shot. Strong statement considering the other Brands I’ve tried. Hart, Douglas, Krieger, Brux and Bartlein...

I'm looking hard at the NSS Criterion Savage pre fit for my Nucleus build.

Five shots at 100 yards from my Criterion Light Varmint .308 barrel this AM.

i have had a few and the all shot well. Already have an x-caliber 243 and an x-caliber 7 saum ordered, so will use those for my two nucleus, but probably going to run a criterion on the origin i ordred once it arrives.

How are those x-caliber barrels performing for you? I just ordered a couple and was wondering what to expect.

I haven't used the 7 saum yet, but the 243 and 6mm Creedmoor (243 is mine, 6CM is my sons, matching nucleus builds) shoot amazing. Haven't put a whole lot of rounds through either but both are shooting as well as any other barrel i have. Both are shooting ELD-M 108 grain very well, still fine tuning though. But getting around .3s without getting to seating depth testing on both.
