So I picked up a stock that looked to be a McMillan A-5 and set out to glass bed it. Once I started to open it up for the glass I noticed that fiberglass was paper then to the point that you just touch it with a Dremel and you were thew it. While it surprised me I went ahead and glassed the stock. After all the clean up was done I noticed that the forend flexed really easy. I could just grab it and squeeze it to the barrel where there had been a 1/32" gap. That's when i decided to make this bedding block up to unsure that my barreled action has the good foundation that it deserves. The action area is machined to a 1 to 1 fit no v-blocks here. I'm going to press in stainless steal pillars to get my height right for the floor plate and to ensure constant bolt torque. Anyways i just thought you guys might like it and no I now do not believe this to be a McMillan stock.
