I called Leupold today to inquire the specs for the head screws on my QRW rings. Several screws had been worn out and need replacement. The gentleman gave me the specs, then added that he will send me a few by mail. I was not expecting this. I originally intended to get the specs then buy from some place like Brownells. I have to say that I am sold!

I don't mean to hijack your thread, but you wouldn't happen to be an Auburn student would you? I will say Leupold does have pretty good customer service. Is it as good as say Vortex? I don't think so, but they have a little more rebuilding to do to earn back most peoples respect. I for one really like their products.

Re: Custom service @ Leupold

I have a different experience with Leupheads. Wanted couple of inexpensive items. They told me they will send them to me charge free. Great! Nothing ever came. On another occasion I was charged TWICE for a reticle upgrade. One time is a mistake. Two times - I send my money someplace else now...

Yeah been there too with a certain popular vendor too, sometimes you have to be the squeaky wheel if you want something done.

Re: Custom service @ Leupold

I would never call Leupold customer service hit or miss. I have had nothing but steller service from them. I have never heard anything bad about them before. I don't expect them to fix my mistakes but they always do.

Re: Custom service @ Leupold

we have tried to get the screws for Leupold QRW rings they sent the v blocks but we still can get the screws. as an aside you cant just buy them from anyone else they have a large diameter screw then a smaller diameter stud thread on the end they are a Leupold only part. we had to just use torx head scrwes and attach the clamping block with a washer that was the way we made the rings work as they never came through with the parts.

I've only had to call them once and they quickly fixed my problem with one of their spotters.

Re: Custom service @ Leupold

Hey Leupold are you watching? I need a question answered. I would like to have my scope updated to the M5 knobs. The Feb. American Rifleman is advertising that you guys are now doing the conversions. I called yesterday and was told it won't be until the end of the year. Can you verify that information and let me know what the conversion is going to cost? PM is fine.

Sorry to Hijack your thread but I didn't want to start a new topic. Something tells me someone is watching this...

Re: Custom service @ Leupold

I have had excellent customer sevice as well with leupold. I had the wrong butler creek scope caps for my mark 4 lrt, they sent me new ones out right away no questions asked. I also had a vx 3 that got damaged from a coyote chasing excursion, and they replaced it also. So leupold in my opionion is good quality and good service, but it all boils down to who you get on the other line.

Re: Custom service @ Leupold

My experience with Leupold has always been great. I sent in a scope with a small issues and got is back in 3 weeks. So far hava only sent in 1 Leupold out of the 10 I own.
