Well gents, Looking at getting one to have something to shoot when I am home on leave. Looking at the CZ 527 varmint, laminated stock in .223. Any of you guys shot/own one? I think its an awesome gun for the price. Not gonna used for more than 600 meters. Just paper, steel and a whole lot of little furry creatures. Most like will be using 52-60 grain and 69 grain loads though it. Again, Just looking to see if you guys have toyed with one. Scope is gonna be the SWFA mil mil fixed 10X non HD. and Warne Med rings for it.

Thanks

Scott

I have a 527 Varmint Kevlar in .223. SO far, i am really liking it. The kevlar used to have a 1:9 barrel, whereas the wood stocked guns had 1:12. I am not sure if this still the case.

Mine shoots everything from 50gr Vmax to 77gr Amax great. I am not a huge fan of the set trigger nonsense, but I just dont use it, so it doesn't affect me a lot. I am taking mine to the smith this week to have the barrel cut back to 18", and the bolt handle ground down so I can mount the scope lower. A 24" tube just doesnt make sense to me on such a nice, trim little action.

I am near certain the SS 10x will not work with Medium rings without modifying the bolt handle. I have a 1" tube Mark AR on mine, and with the CZ high rings, it just barely clears the occular.

Would you mind posting a picture? That would be amazing as the Brain tube is having a hard time picturing it.

Thanks
