I love the single set trigger in the 453 & own acouple dozen but also own one of the 455 single set triggers I trade gun to gun. I set them all on 2#s on the reg & 6oz on the set & doing a Shamrock 455 now. Also collect 550s & 527s

I missed out on the short run of 452 chassis that MDT made. Didn't realize it would be discontinued so quick. Anyone know of any place that still has them in stock?
Not sure if you will ever see this but from time to time DVOR offers for sale obscure things like chassis for a 452. I bought mine a few weeks back for around $180. I has receiver points that will take any 452 whether it be an American model with two attachment points at the receiver or the Varmint or other with an attachment point on the barrel. I have my short factory threaded barreled 452 American in mine and it was a fantastic decision. Really does shoot much better. The one I have is the first version. I have also bought the same MDT for my Anschutz Exemplars from DVOR.

Thanks @Kissofdeath

My Supressor Ready 455 turned into a one hole gun @50yds after it broke in. Took about 300 rounds, but it eaisly does head shots on squirrels. If I miss, then I missed, not the gun.

Fwiw, Norma Tac 22 is what it likes best, but it shoots anything quality very well.

Also, I did a Youtube vid some years ago on the EGW mount Vs the DiP one.
Egw is VASTLY superior to the Dip style.

I bought 452 scouts for my sons and they shoot lights out. One of my favorite rifles to shoot, when they let me haha

great thread, did not know there were chasis for it but regardless, had these rifles for 7 and 3 yrs and they are fantastic

I have a 452 in 17 Mach 2 and a 455 in 22lr both awesome rifles.

Decided to put my 452 American in the MDT. What a difference the chassis made on this one. Below target was shot with a 3-9x 20 year old Tasco scope. The reticle covered up the dot. Trigger on this one is really crappy, I haven't messed with it yet. I'll probably leave this one just like it is.

Imagine what it could do with a Yo Dave kit, higher magnification and better conditions.
My best 6x5 with my 452 American is listed in the 6x5 thread. It was with the original sporter stock. I have since bought a Boyd’s Pro Varmint (I thought that was my only option) and a Athlon Midas Tac for it, but haven’t had a chance to shoot it since. I was able to get a pretty nice trigger with just the spring and shim from YD.

CZ 512 is semi auto and you won't have to worry about being left handed.

Accuracy wise I can shoot 5 rounds 0.75 MOA group with Eley Sports.

My 452 and 453 Americans will do .400 under any day of the week with Wolf Match. I never used anything else their killer rifles. I looked all over for a chassis ended up building a RIM X.

The key thing to be aware of is the barrel band and the tang are on the same level so you end up bedding metal to metal. I had a benchmark accuracy point for this project using Tenex and it met, then exceeded my requirement. I used some AICS Long Action skins that were in the spares cabinet but am now aware that the AI airsoft stock has most of the compatible furniture you would need.

If I was going to do it again, I would impose myself on someone's mill for an hour or so.

But, because of the lawyer-proof trigger, doing a nice Yo-Dave tigger adjustment is key.

Got some photos somewhere.

Sadly no - and I really don't want to take those skins off again (and as version 1 the cutting is rough)! But it is 3D puzzle of making the cross bolt holes, drilling, bending a 90 deg for the recoil pad and cutting for the action footprint.

I thought I would need to fill and steel bed the action. Amazingly I did not. And all the CZ screws are M6 so the tuning became finding the right length to hold the action in place.

Final shot - first try with night vision.

Finally got my 455 figured out. Played with the action bolt torque values and had to sand down the barrel channel a little more to float the barrel afterwards. I'd still like to get a chassis for it, but had several nice 5 round groups with this being the best. A little interpretation required to place the impacts in the right place but it's ~0.40 MOA group.

Based on some of your posts here, I checked on Optics Planet and found an MDT chassis for my CZ 452 Varmint. The barreled action dropped in perfectly. Now, waiting for a buttstock, I'm anxious to try this out because I bought an MDT action for my Anschutz 1710 and it made a big difference in accuracy.

I’m so glad you posted this. I’ve been trying to find a chassis for a 452 American for a while. I knew that MDT had discontinued theirs. I checked and optics planet had One Black one left. Got it.

My 453 American shot pretty good today.

That is the one draw back to the 452: no chassis options.
I luckily found an MDT chassis on Optics Planet, but I think I got the last one. Best thing to do at this point is to epoxy bed your wood stock. I found that stock screw torque has a large effect on accuracy. A little or a lot makes a big difference.

You don't see them around much but what should one expect to pay for a real nice CZ 452 2E-ZKM Classic left hand 17 HMR.

Ran some position stuff from a elevated platform today with my 17/22 swager built on a model 1 Brno.
Fun gun.

CZ stupidly made the 452 and 453 American and certain calibers of the other 452 and 453 models with 3/8" US standard rimfire dovetails.

They fixed the problem with the 455 and now 457, where the 11 mm European standard rimfire dovetail is the only one used.

Older thread, but if you are using this chart and really preferred the 452 American, source a CZ 452 2E-ZKM Classic. 11mm dovetail, and the only difference in it and the American is the rear action screw style.

Highreview, I got a CZ455 SS Lux (2017 mfg) new2me in Feb. Only been out a couple times - east coast weather - but I got a CZ 0* rail and can mount a 50mm scope using Vortex Pro Low rings. I have about 1/4 " clearance on the bolt and also on the barrel. The scope is a Cabelas Covenant-4 6-24x50 FFP-SF w-MOA Tree, the 4th bars are numbered allowing easy hold-over for distance or wind. Still working on consistent 1/2" @ 50, but getting them often.

Of all the rifles I have, the CZ452 .17HMR was one of two that I bothered to shoot at all in 2022. Great shooter, very enjoyable.

Now thinking of ordering a 457 MTR. Haven't decided on .22 or .17.

If the OP is still looking for a left hand CZ, Boyds has a lot of stocks for the 452 in left or right hand. It's not a chassis, but even before bedding the AtOne seems to work pretty good.

You have pics of groups and the ammo it likes? I’m debating on doing what you did or going the Zermatt route.
