I have many S&B scopes, never with this issue. Its a 3x12 MTC knobs, the all black ones with no window just the pop up ring. Its mounted in a Spuhr 20 moa mount, on an AI covert. From my zero, I can only get 11 mils up or .5 mils down. If I loosen the screws and retighten so the oring is exposed, I count 25.5 mils total. With the 20 moa mount I should have more that 11 mils up, even on a covert, WTF am I doing wrong?

Strange. I have had issues as well mounting an S&B but still ended up with about alot more than 11MIL up. I am going to 64 MOA (20MOA base + 44MOA Spuhr) inclined mount in order to get all the 26MIL that I paid for.

Sorry I don't have a suggestion as to what is going on except to say I am using alot more MOA than S&B suggests in their literature.

I've seen this issue before so try this remove the turret, flip it over, and take a look at the inside. You should find a small barrel with a notch in it, this is the barrel that accuates the revolution indicator on the knob. If the notch isn't all the way over to the right the tall pin in the elevation assembly won't slip into the notch and instead just stop dead at 11 mils.

To illustrate the above take a look at this:

    MTC Instructions

    Hope that works for you.

that is probably exactly whats wrong. I had one do that the other day. It was just the lever not turned to the correct position.

Just to add to what Ian (Trigger Monkey) said make sure none of the dowel pins are bent when you look inside the cap and also on the turret. If the dial got forced a little then either one of the pins may have gotten bent and that will also cause this problem.
    Good Luck,
