The Most Dangerous City in the USA
The White House <[email protected]>

Snip...
For starters, about a third of the Made-in-China contraband is counterfeited. The Chinese knockoffs uncovered by CBP have included everything from Louis Vuitton bags, Ferragamo belts, Rolex watches, and Apple earbuds to fraudulent China Virus test kits and fake prescription drugs like Lipitor and Viagra. That’s not just a consumer rip off – fake medicines can outright kill you while defective electronics products can burn your house down.

APPAREL GROUP SAYS BROAD BAN ON CHINA'S XINJIANG COTTON IMPOSSIBLE TO ENFORCE

A second major category uncovered by Operation Mega Flex is even more deadly. It consists of assorted drug paraphernalia along with deadly narcotics such as fentanyl, methamphetamine, and oxycodone.

In just one package seized this past March at the JFK facility, over 5,000 grams of the dangerously addictive opioid, hydrocodone, were uncovered—that’s more than 55,000 doses.

Then, of course, there are the various fake documents like driver’s licenses, passports, and police badges–the latest blitz operation last month seized several Department of Justice Special Agent badges that were remarkably realistic. And if you need a gun or a silencer or an automatic weapons converter, you can get that from Communist China too, courtesy of e-commerce platforms.

Mega Flex...or MAGA Flex? And scopes, and bipods, and shit we buy!!!

Really? Is this a true statement? This sounds a lot like the ridiculous “guns from the internet” and “gun show loophole” myths so often repeated by your average leftist.

Some number of "fuel filters" and Glock giggle switches have indeed made their way into the US from China. Shit, there's been at least two threads in as many weeks right here in the Pit.

So to play Devil's advocate...who is the bigger dirtbag...the Chinese for offering goods into our free market or the fucktards buying the stuff.

You want our Government to stop it...Is that part of what the Government is supposed to do....LMAO

Thats kind of a 'Both' sort of statement. As much as I detest the yellows for buying up America, they couldnt have done it if greedy, shortsighted, capitalist, pork pushers didnt sell.

Something sticks way to deep in my craw concerning making 'deals' with commies.

Yes, I believe in true capitalism. If you go back and re read my post, I never said they shouldnt have the ;right' to sell to the Crappy's, jsut that we brought it on ourselves by selling out our industries.

Ive only bought one illegal piece of Chines shit, a really sweet Italian made stiletto type swithcblade...for about $11.00 I guess they were 'middling' them. Other than that I try to avoid commie garbage.

Actually, yes. Regulating international trade is one of the few legitimate functions of the Federal Government. It’s a hell of a lot more legitimate than stealing our income by force.

The real LOL is the view that you can have “free trade” with a country that enslaves their people. This is precisely where the whole libertarian ethos runs into the real world logos. Free trade is only possible between free countries. What we have/had with China was a one way theft and economic warfare.

Have I mentioned this before??.... fuck China!

Not disagreeing but that is beyond my control. You can thank our Government and elected officials for those policies and regulations. You can thank the fucktards who elected and then enabled the Government to be able to dictate those rules and policies. We consistently agree to let the Government do more than originally envisioned by the founding fathers....and now we bitch about the theft and loss of jobs and elimination of the middle class.....I can't worry about this shit anymore. It makes one a completely angry and vituperative individual.

My only control over ANY of it is limited to my willingness to purchase what is offered by the seller, in this case, the Chinese.

I choose to never buy counterfeit anything and I don't.

If more people did that, then the Government would get quite the wake up call.

THERE'S THE RUB.

Chinese are "communists," but after all is said & done, they are still businessmen. Fuck ya one way, or fuck ya the other. And LAUGH about it.

Trump is wise to their shit. Give him a bigger hammer.

This.

One way theft, yes, but it wasnt much of a war. They just robbed us blind and now are using it to destroy us.

If you stop these types of goods from entering the US, you will kill 99% of the street vendors in NYC. I say stop them immediately.

It couldn't come fast enough for me. As someone who has spent a few days in NYC, I say goodbye to them all. The number of tourists who are ripped off by them on a daily basis is just crazy.

Look at what these fuckers did to the world. Probably intentionally and with forethought and malice.

Can you purchase human meat from China?
Asking for a friend

Likely if you have the contacts. Ya'll may get a nut because this is sponsored by PETA, but the video speaks for itself. Behold:

The marketing of counterfeit shit to me isnt a matter of the laws of capitalism, to me it has more to do with patent law and intellectual property and that is what pisses me off.

The originator of an idea has an expectation that they will get "exclusivity" on that idea for a period of time should they legally protect their product.

A free market ensures the best to the most by creating profit and competition for profit.

China has the idea that they can provide something similar to the most by stealing ideas and selling stuff at a cheaper price. An individuals intellectual effort has no value to them because its not about the individual its about the commune.

What their philosophy leads to is the end of R&D.

Why spend the sweat effort or financial research to design and market new or improved products if once it hits the market anyone can build it and steal the "payback" due those that developed it.

Patent Law initially may look to be "meddling" in a truly free market and hamper its ability to provide "the best to the most" by giving exclusivity to a designer but by doing so the free market is motivated to develop the best through the granting of reward for new design/ideas.

Chinas philosophy is that everyone should have a KAK rifle (mis-spelling intentional) while in American only "non-poors" like @TheGerman can afford a KAC rifle.

Expecting the American consumer to stop consuming chinese products...LoL.

How about we simply review/discuss basic human rights as a basis for our govt intervention.

Wouldnt THAT be the right thing to do? IMO, it would be....

No it wouldn't be

You're saying that people here are not responsible enough to decide for themselves. If that is the case, they should just shut the fuck up about their position in life. As I said previously, all decisions have consequences. The American public fucked themselves up the ass and now are boo-hooing that the Chinese are getting rich...buying our property and overrunning the west coast and NYC....LMAO.

Too fucking bad...you made your bed now lay in it bitch.

I am tired of intervening and spending money on other nations when we can manufacture anything we import if we decided to do so. However, the Global Oligarchy who is firmly in power through a mandate of their citizens will not have any of that.

Good luck changing it....never happen without an external cataclysm to reset things.

Free trade requires fairness - not the everyone gets a participation medal type of "fairness", but rather a common set of laws, morals, and values.

China fails this test in every way possible. Oh, and they are also a strategic adversary that will use this massive transfer of wealth against us.

Blame everyone involved - the Chinese, the government that crammed this free-trade lie down our throats (with the assistance of all forms of media), the consumers who fooled themselves into thinking there is such a thing as a free lunch.

Business is business...man has been fucking over each other to get a competitive advantage since we crawled out of the slime. It is now out of fashion in the US. It is BAD! Well bitch, enjoy the consequences.

China realized this back in the 70s. That is when Deng Xiaoping began the process of transforming China into a true superpower with the help of Mr. Nixon. Everyone hailed him as a hero who opened China up to us. What a freaking joke.

China has two huge advantages over us...they are utterly ruthless and incredibly patient. We are neither. President Xi Jinping is more ruthless than his predecessors. He has maintained that trait while cultivating his image as a statesman and helped by the media. Go visit and travel the country as I have. See what people live like...do they boo-hoo...no they don't. Does it make it right to treat humans that way....no it don't but it don't matter to the Chinese ruling class so why should it to anyone else? You want to be altruistic, be my guest but don't boo-hoo the outcome. It don't work that way and it never will.

If you can't see what is unfolding in front of you today in the US, I feel bad for you. And I am using the word you collectively not you as in you @E. Bryant.

Our entire history is being erased and re-written. All character traits that made us the superpower that we WERE, are being removed 1984 style. And removed with our consent.

People remember one thing about Adolf Hitler and the Nazis. They remember that he systematically wiped out 6 million Jewish people. That is the last thing that anyone should remember. What should be remembered is the method they used to convince their fellow countrymen that it needed to be done and winning their consent.

That is what is happening here to us now.

...and yet basic human rights are not on the table for discussion. It always becomes "ya, but...yadda yadda".

I don't disagree with anything that you said. It should be clearly stated that China isn't the only ruthless participant in this gang rape; there are plenty of capitalists in the US who have been quite happy to fill their pockets with the fat profits that came from "free trade" with the Chinese. For those of us here who have worked for manufacturing companies (large or small) who participate in a number of different cutthroat markets, we've actively participated in this activity (raise your hand if you receive some sort of a profit-based incentive from a company that has a "global supply chain"). So yeah, the list of guilty parties is quite substantial.

The American public could have put the brakes on this by demanding that the political class acts in accordance with voters' economic interests, but the prospects for that died with Perot's presidential bid. We got divided and conquered politically.

Wholeheartedly agree....we are just as complicit with our consent via the ballot box. The only difference between us and the oligarchs is we did it unknowingly...
