Danish "Reedumacation" Camps ... It's For the Children!

Your argument is still invalid. Small countries can easily have a higher rape per capita then large countries. Japan has a 1.1 rape per capita and a population of 127 million.

It has NOTHING to do with the size of the country and EVERYTHING to do with the demographic of the population.

I disagree. I think it’s both to a point. Japan’s population is not a Mecca of people much unlike their own. They also do not have millions of illegals pouring into their borders like the US does. ANd if you overstay your visa in Japan they come and get your ass to deport you and arrest your sponsor. Again, you are not making even remotely fair comparisons on this. The US has a larger population than a lot of countries and takes in vast amounts of immigrants from all kinds of backgrounds. If we closed our borders and forced those here to assimilate or get out, I bet our numbers would drop as well. Now you know part of the reason why so many in the US want something done about the borders and immigration. And you have also now pointed out why the others were making such a strong argument about how your country would change if you don’t do something about some of those that have immigrated to your country. Again, talk to me in 10 years and when your population has grown.

So yes, it does have a lot to do with demographic but I still think it has a great deal to do with population size and density as well.

I could also argue that the numbers are higher in some places due to recording procedures and a lack of ways to protect oneself. For example, Australia’s gun violence went down when they implemented their form of gun control, quite drastically, but their rape rate jumped by a huge margin.

On the other hand, India supposedly has a rape rate of 1.8 per 100,000 according to some sources which would tend to lean toward your argument of the demographic matters most, but I find that number for India to be hard to believe. I would postulate that a lot of the cases their probably go largely unreported. If you look at the countries where women basically have no rights the numbers are ridiculously low. Do you think that’s by happenstance?

I think that such statistics are hard to nail down and cannot be attributed to any one single item. The reason one country may be higher or lower can be due to a multitude of reasons.

^^^^ And one of those reasons being that too many blame the rape victim for being raped. What kind of backwards, upside-down, archaic, cave-animal (not cave-man) lunatic, bass-ackward, rock 'n stick technology, insect-brained thinking is that, anyway?

That is tantamount to trying to throw rain back up into the sky, to stop flooding.

Dr Wife and I love Maine. But I’m not surprised, though. Was visiting one of her friends in Camden, and we walked into a coffee shop just up from the harbor. Super lib vibe. Made me sick, cause I know how the disease spreads.
I thought the following qoute from that article is relevant,
“And despite the attempts by the Swedish establishment to convince that everyone setting foot on Swedish soil becomes exactly like those who have lived here for dozens of generations, facts point in an altogether different direction.”

Denmark should be fine though...eyeroll

Exactly!

The whole thing is just so sad. I know nothing stays the same, but my childhood memories of Denmark are so happy, and it was so safe that at the age of 8 or 9 I could take the train by myself into Aarhus, or walk all the way through Riis Skov Forest.

Nowhere is safe as long as they let people in that do not assimilate. Protect your borders or boot people out though and you get named every label under the sun. I propose that there should be some kind of incentive for civilized people to move into these war torn countries and maybe some of our ways will be picked up by them and over time their societies become, well more civilized.

I applaud Denmark’s efforts but the application is flawed. Over time their way of life will be eroded and replaced if they continue to let these people in, in large numbers. I liken these re-education camps to something like prison. Some people can be reformed, but a lot of people can’t. At what point do you say enough is enough?
