About 20 years ago I set out to prove CO2 was bad using base science and data. I found out the opposite.

Here is a place to start by taking each of his assertions and showing they are each false.

Find newspapers from the 1950s/1960s with giant headlines about how we are going to be in an ice age within the next decade due to global cooling and how everyone is going to freeze to death and die.

Ask how its 'different this time'.

Radiation in space, some caused by our sun is so crazy, it pukes out similar to solar flares once every 10k years. When that happens, reversals in the ploes happen. When THAT happens, (as recorded by those ice cores in Antarctica spoken of) it shows a pattern of every around 10k years the climate drastically changing. Climate change is really an event so far beyond tectonic plates, radiation, etc.
Good reads all over, but the wired article mentiones how during the "Carrington event", the telegraph stations were able to brodcast to other telegraph offices atound the world using only the floating electrons in the air.
There is a natural order here. There are those, however, making big profits out of the fear sown by our lack of understanding, and telling us its all in the name of postponing a future event. We can no further stop it than throwing a cup of bleach in the ocean will clean all the pollutants therein.

Second paragraph will focus on his claim global warming due to carbon in the atmosphere is causing glaciers on Kilimanjaro to disappear yet Scientists on that continent claim shifts in Indian Ocean currents are eliminating the moisture needed to feed them.

Maybe on the third paragraph we will discuss Al Gores need to steal money from the economy with the carbon credit scheme in order to afford massage parlor hand jobs that Tipper won't give him.

I have a well researched book at home written by a meteorologist that debunks all of the fraudulent claims. If I remember right, it’s well researched and cited. I will try to find it when I get home.

The beauty of their position is they see everything as Due to "Climate Change".

When they were using "Global Warming" or "Global Cooling" as the name of their religion they painted themselves into a corner when data showed the opposite.

Now that it is just "Change" anything can fit their agenda.

Getting cold "Climate Change".

Getting hot "Climate Change".

Failing to manage a forest leads to uncontrollable wildfire "Climate Change".

She'll get a better grade with a lot less effort if she regurgitates the status quo narrative that is expected. No matter how convincing, her report will fall on deaf ears and it's possible she'll be penalized academically for going against the Ministry of Indoctrination.

Barrel through the report in the minimal time required to get an "A" and then take her fishing instead. Have an open discussion about global warming with her while you watch your bobbers.

That's the core of "State of Fear" by Crichton. How the socialists hijacked the Eco Movement in 1989 after Communism died its horrible death of failure (except in the minds of the religious zealots like academics, Hollywood, reporters, Democrats and Hippies...) they needed a new way to make 'Socialism' palatable.

What better than Gaia? Or those cuddly polar bears? Or 'We're all going to die.' Recycle (even though a lot of it is energy negative) and feel good. Propaganda. Indoctrination. Bullying... and a false flag of those endangered species and polar caps as an excuse for Communism.

The author of the Green New Deal was AOC's handler. He admitted that GND was not about the climate, it was about socialism. Of course everyone with critical thinking skills knew this too.

Don't know if this has been mentioned up thread but you better be careful. If she makes a strong case disproving man is responsible for global warming she might get expelled.

Man is doing things that affect the earth. Its just not the doomsday scenario many people want to play it out to be.

Do you want to see climate change let the earth get hit by a couple kilometer meteor.

Or a super volcano, like the one that’s been brewing under Yellowstone national park

No global warming today. Have her check out University if Alaska Fairbanks, they have some programs your talking about. This fall we took a school trip to Fairbanks for a UAF sponsored field trip to the permafrost tunnels. They are the only ones in the world. I have some pics if this interest you.

I remember seeing the news channel out of Anchorage stating it was the date that Al Gore said there would be no more arctic ice. Opposite was true, it was the thickest in the 80 years of keeping records.

I know reality is like ancient sanskrit to leftys but when the high preists to global warming, like Al Gore, Obama,Leo Decaprio, and Pelosi, start buying mountain properties, instead of multi-million dollar ocean-front estates, I might give credence to their claims.

I'm not sure what the actual project entails as far as the rubric but if it is just detailing climate change your daughter could take the historical approach.
 
@pmclaine ok I went looking all over my library for this book and cannot find it. It will turn up eventually unless I let someone borrow it and never got it back. But, I think it might have been a book called: Unsettled by Steven Koonin.
