Re: David Tubb Contour?
I have a few of these barrels, and I think the dimensions can vary.
A) .308 Win version:
Length = 25" (twenty five inches)
Muzzle Diameter = 0.875" at shoulder before turned section (for irons, at 0.750")
Diameter from breech to just before taper = 1.205" and this section is 2.5" (two and a half inches) in length before taper
Taper is Palma-like.
At 12" forward of breech, diameter = 0.940"
B) 6 XC version:
Length = 28" (twenty eight inches)
Muzzle Diameter = 0.895" at shoulder before turned section(for irons, at 0.750")
Diameter from breech to just before taper = 1.210" and this section is 3.5" (three and a half inches) in length before taper
Taper is Palma-like.
At 12" forward of breech, diameter = 0.955"
B) 6BR version:
Length = 25" (twenty five inches), excluding "bloop" tube glued onto the muzzle to extend sight radius (for irons)
Muzzle Diameter = 0.850" at shoulder before turned section(for irons, at 0.750")
Diameter from breech to just before taper = 1.210" and this section is 2.5" (two and a half inches) in length before taper
Taper is Palma-like.
At 12" forward of breech, diameter = 0.915"
