So just now in my inbox I received this email....
<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">Dear Mr. Sanders,
My office recently received a request that you submitted through TouchStone Research Group requesting a copy of your DD
214/discharge. This email is being sent to you to verify that you requested a copy of your DD 214/discharge. The electronic
signature on your
TouchStone request is not accepted by this Command. If you have not already received a copy of your DD 214, please answer the
following three questions regarding your discharge so that we can verify you actually requested a copy of your DD 214. If you do
not answer the following questions, our office will not be able to verify that you actually requested your discharge paperwork and
we will close the request. Once our office verifies the authenticity of the request, I will mail requested documents directly to
you. (Please provide a current mailing address).
What was the date of your discharge?
What rank were you when you were discharged?
Home of record at time of entry?
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me anytime.
v/r,</div></div>
The questions seem harmless but the kicker is I have not requested a copy of my DD214 since at least 2009 when I was doing my SF86..... And I received that with no issues.
Any thoughts on this from an outsider looking in?
