I put the tv on the other night and saw this show on the guide.. Put the channel on and... Some dude has the PSG-1 and is talking about it.. I was like..yeaaaa! Then the GSG dude does his thing and take a nice shot at the target. SWAT comes out with a good ole' 700 with what looked like a plain jane Leuppy and also takes a nice shot on the target. GSG wins.. And then it's shotgun time.. GSG comes out with a wood stocked 870 which I was quite surprised at.. SWAT rolls out with a 14" barreled Benelli M4 and dominates the shotgun courses .. The GSG dude at the end said.. I may be slower but atleast I know mine will work every time ! Anyone else see this ?

I saw it. The sniping was best. The "showdown" at the end was cheesy. I would love to have some of those ballistic dummy heads they were shooting at! Full of blood, bones and eyes. Pretty cool.

I had to laugh when he said that the PSG-1 was a new rifle design, made just for them. Don't get me wrong it is a great rifle but the guy would have argued his German knife was way more effective on groups of armed fighters than U.S. air support. Also made me laugh when the SWAT used a German shotgun and the Germans used an Remmy 870. Poetic irony

Everything about that show is FAIL. The LAPD SWAT guys were actual team members, the German GSG9 guys, not so much. I personally liked the Spetnaz verse IRA episode.

H&K imported the Benelli shotguns until Benelli started importing the same weapons without the H&K markings.

That Sonny guy on the Spetnaz team seemed pretty authentic. He was taking some hard shots to the gut from the big Karate guy.
He also out shot the SF troop with a Makarov. Some shows suck like the Pirate VS Knight.

HK never owned Benelli. As stated above, Benelli did not have their own importers into the USA at one time and had HK iimport them into the country. Benelli is ITALIAN, and had teh GERMANS boat them here. that's it.

That show was awful. The graphic for the PSG1 stated that its effective range was 650yds, then the announcer used his best military channel voice to state that the rifle was capable of hitting a man at a mile. The 700 had an effective range of 700yds...not exactly sure where the difference came from. Then the 700 they used for the shot looked like a stock 700VS with a 2.5-10x NF. Just bad all the way around. The only part that wasnt painful was when the GSG9 guy invited the host to stand next to the stingball next time if he didnt think it was effective.
I'm with ROLEX...the best part was the credits.

Yeah I got caught up in this show when they did an all day event of the first season. I have to admit I'm hooked but I agree with you on the shotgun point (I was yelling that at the T.V. myself) there is a lot of aspects on the show I do not agree with but in the end it is just entertainment and it's fun to watch.

that show was about the worst, they were talking about shotguns and mentioned the Rem 870 and one of the guys held up an 1897 Winchester.During the head shots with the long guns they had 2 different 700 rifles. One looked like a VS with some cheap scope and in the showdown the SWAT sniper was using a Remington 710.

The older shows were interesting because they compared old weapons and their effectiveness which was interesting. In the modern firearms comparisons it seems that the biggest difference in in the operator not the weapon. So the results are not valid.
