Looking for a budget stock for a Remington 700 ADL in .308 (blind box mag no hinged floorplate)looking for something under $200 (ideally $120ish)

found this :
http://www.midwayusa.com/product/818699/...vc=S016ID937643

its a Choate Ultimate Sniper Rifle Stock (choate USR stock). Its not pretty, its heavy and has mixed reviews but for what i can afford it looks ideal. my project build doesnt have a lot of funds. Its (80%) for target shooting to 300-600yds, and a back up deer rifle (i engage deer at approx 75 -150 yrds). So far ive got the rifle with a bipod, a vortex viper pst ffp 4-16, Talley 0 moa rail and Vortex match rings. anyone know where you can find the Choate cheaper? or maybe a diffrent simular stock within price budget?
These $400 stocks look nice but they just arent going to fly right now with my budget. (as you can see i've pretty much blown budget on my optic and rings)

does not fit any of the criteria above. they do not fit the ADL blind boxes and the simular syles are in the 400 range. If i missed something please provide link.

many of these listed on here are for BDL with hinged floorplates, I have a adl with a blind box. Im not sure this will work without me modifing my rifle for a hinged floor plate. (not even sure how much extra that would cost) also these stocks provide no cheek adjustment. i can deal with a thumbhole stock, but i worry about wood in the south texas humidity.

edit: converion : http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=340/Product/REMINGTON-700-ADL-TO-BDL-KITS
adds $139

Re: Deal hunting a stock

Thanks RLewis, stockys has great selection and deals on thumbholes within my budget. Anyone know where I might find good deal / better price on a tactical stock (simular to the one linked on my origonal post?)

Re: Deal hunting a stock

UPDATE: okay so i found a lot of bad reviews on the choate ultimate sniper stock, mainly due to the angled foreend rail. Problems read: Problems putting on a bipod, problem using the bipod with the angle in relation to the legs, and rail foreend coming off.

also when i googled up stockys to revist (without link) i found tons of horrid nightmarish reveiws. can anyone share some recenyt insight with that?

looking for something skeleton or thoumbhole tactical whithin the above budget.
