i rarely shoot off bipods. I dont compete but i practice shooting across canyons mostly with tripod. im very comfortable wih the tripod but i want to expand to bipods. if i can get a prone shot i shoot off packs. prone is hard to come by. may or may not stay on rifles.
atlas cal and evolution bipod are on the short list. I dont know if i will use the evolution for its modularity or not. I guess it is possible i might get extensions for day coyote stands. I use tripod for night time and sometimes during day instead of shooting sticks. I guess i feel like it would be good to choose.
how does the atlas and evolution compare when loading? is the evo sloppy? how is the option of fabricating leg extensions? there are some negatives with the evolution such as the legs pull out from bottom gathering ice and dirt. it also scares me to think i could loose a leg if im not careful.
close to same price and i want to order today. if anyone knows a good site vendor let me know!
