Well, the topic says it all. I have casually read over the years that some of the DBMs on the market, using AI magz, are very loose..

Even in AICS stocks, they are ratteling inside their small box.

Which ones are the "thightest" out there in the market?

Surgeon DBM is supposed to be very good.

Also, please say what actions you used?

Only DBM that I've personally seen that does not rattle is the 4rd mag from HS Precision. 4rd mag has a rubber o-ring that compresses between lip of magazine and bottom metal. 10 rd mag from HSP doesn't have this and it rattles.

Rem 700 & clones.

I think it has to do with the magazine more than the bottom metal. Some of my magazines are tighter than others. My Badger and Hooper metal don't rattle. My KRG chassis has a snug fit with the AIAW mags. One of my 10 round AICS mags rattles in everything.

The times I have noticed a mag rattling in the rifle was when it was empty.

I went over this issue when designing our DBM. Although I settled on a drop free tolerance with slightly tighter tolerances than what I have seen on other brands, an inserted mag with ammo in it should not rattle anyway.

So, in the end, as long as the manufacturer stays within the aperture tolerances of the mag spec drawings, it does not make a shit.
