Really, nobody posted on this one yet? I went into this with zero expectations. I know the older ones are "classics" to some, but for me I saw them after the fact and they just seemed too Hollywood for my taste being from the "Saving Private Ryan" and "Bourne" generation where action movies started to attempt a little more realism than the movies of the past.

I am not a huge Bruce fan, but did go in with a new respect for him after seeing that he had come out in the last month or so in support of the 2nd Amendment and opposing any new gun legislation. Damn, I guess time in Idaho is good for anyone, even if you're in Sun Valley!

Anyways, enough pre-amble. I gotta say I LOVED IT. Yes there were a few cheesy parts between Dad and Son, but not to the point of ad nauseam, they didn't force it TOO much.

What they did do is produce a great action film with lots of good gun porn, some funny scenes and some really good special effects that never seemed to have too much CGI. I liked the father son relationship that got a bit better, again without being too annoying. I liked the hot russian chick, the cool chernobyl scenes and the Hind helicopter. An M60 makes a good and useful appearance and hey, what's not to love about good, hard Americans killing bad Russians?

I say give this one a chance, and support Bruce for supporting the 2A. If not for that go for one of the best action movies of 2013 (calling it now, critics probably won't love it, but lot's of regular people will).

If you are refering to A Good Day to Die Hard, I saw it and thought it fell a little flat compared to the fast pace of the previous movies. Die Hard with a Vengeance came out in 1995.

Like every other series, the early ones are best and latter are worse. It fell well short of my expectations. It seems that if you see the previews for a movie these days, you've seen most or all of the high points. Watch a trailer on line and your good.

My bad, that shows how much a of a fan I am. No, I was talking about Good Day to Die Hard. Maybe I should go back to watch the older ones again, but I honestly liked this one. Plus I hate Samuel L Jackson so any one with him not in it is a bonus.
