My Game Scout should be here today - been tracking it with UPS like I used to track santa. Ordered it middle of March, and it is arriving before July with plenty of time before this year's Moose and Caribou season. I ordered it with flush cups on bottom and on the left side so I could wear it 'up front' on a snow machine so that the action stays clear of kicked up ice/snow.
The Game Scout really feels like a Rem classic with a good grip. The A3 sporter front end is a bit more beavertail-ee. I like them both, but feel that the Game Scout is a bit 'trimmer.' Well, that and the CFO only approved buying 1 stock so I had to choose!

The main thing I'm worried about with the Game Scout is that I want to use a #5 Krieger barrel contour - worried whether the Game Scout forend will handle this size of contour???

The McMillan web site says up to a varmint contour barrel can be used in the Game Scout so I'd say that the smaller #5 Krieger will work fine.

I have a game scout. The front end is very similar to a sporter stock. Mine is inletted for a varmint barrel and looks to be about as big as it can go. Very light stock.

I personally think it looks fine. The stock is fairly light so if you throw a long rem varmint barrel in its probably going to be front heavy. The barreled action I dropped in just to see how it looked was a 24" fluted varmint contour and it balanced great, however I was planning on doing a 26" 6 creedmoor and probably won't go fluted so I'm anticipating that one being a little front heavy.
