picked up a .001" accurate 6" digital for 18 bucks saturday - it was marked 29 on the shelf, but rang up cheaper.

is this enough accuracy for what a typical reloader needs?

Originally bought with the intent of using for brake rotors - which it works well for. this is the most accurate one HF has I think...so if i need a better one i'll have to shop elsewhere.

Re: digital caliper?

dunno if this counts for anything, but a quick squeeze on a few factory loads shows .308 exactly on the bullets themselves, just ahead of the ogive (crimp ring)

Re: digital caliper?

I'm glad you found something you can / will use. Some times people are mentally put off by having to use precision tools. I know a guy that was transfered to another job because he didn't want to have to learn to read a 0-1" micrometer. Silly as it seems, I guess it happens.

Once again, congratulations on finding an economical solution for your needs.
