Well my card info got nabbed and tldr: new one in mail--all is well.

Cept I have no card for a couple days. Minor problem--I go to bank to get a temp one and they no longer give out temp cards and the banker says to just link to my digital wallet.

I already don't trust my bank (its a bank! duh!)

Maybe I am stuck in the stone age, but I figure that is even less safe than having a physical card. You guys do the digital wallet stuff? Was not a fan of Paypal given their well--paypal crap they pull, and I sure as shit don't want my want bank info on my phone for any other system. I only know enough Internet security to be trouble, so those with more knowledge than me--is this really that much better or is it just cost cutting so they don't have to issue cards anymore.

In these cases sometimes stating; "My phone is a managed device and third party applications aren't allowed to be installed on it" can open up some alternatives.

This is why I DON'T use a bank card for anything except the ATM if I can help it.
Have a couple credit cards and use them instead.
Way less hassle when they get compromised (and they will).

Is this a poors question?

Who only has one credit card? I have multiple cards for this exact reason

Was at a fucking FOOD LION on vacation buying groceries, 10 years ago maybe, the food totaled $75
That transaction shut down 2 cards as "FRAUD" lol

Anyway, carry more than one card, the credit card world sucks dick and works against you. I always wonder why these high profit credit card companies can't pony up the $5 to overnight you a new card

**IF** you do not need CREDIT, here is another option
Go to walmart, get a bluebird prepaid card (backed by American Express), put $$$ on it right at the walmart check out, use it as a prepaid card until you secure another solution
