Hey guys! Just got my Dillon 650 put together. Loaded up some rounds today and was having an issue to with the catcher that holds the new unused primers that arent loaded into a shell. Its a bitch to take them out one by one and place onto a primer holder so they can be reused. The tape method as you can see in the pictures is not really working.. Have any of yall tried any other method to contain the unused primers? maybe cut the end off the blue slide and attach a small jar or something?

Re: Dillon Owners..........

dont have any ideas for getting them out of there, but why do you have so many unused primers?

if you know your going to be advancing the shell plate quite a few times without priming, then remove the primer advance thingy.

its black and angled on the frame of the press.

Re: Dillon Owners..........

Call Dillon for assistance before you start modifying anything. If something's happening to you, it's happened to others, and that stuff usually gets back to Dillon Pronto. My guess is they probably have some helpful advice you can put to good use.

Re: Dillon Owners..........

Shouldn't have to cut anything on the press. Just slide it over the "skijump" blue piece.

Once you start cranking out ammo you really won't have any there anyhow.

Re: Dillon Owners..........

The only time I have a by-passed primer is if I have a bad piece of brass at station one and fail to catch it before advancing. 45ACP with small primer pockets come to mind. I hate that stuff.
