I'm intimately aware of the fact that the standards are different.
Women have higher allowable fat standards, but, that doesn't allow for them to look like pigs/manatees in uniform.

Appearance is also part of the standard.

Because of that, I lost one of my best Airmen back around 08.
She exceeded fitness standards, she blew away body fat standards but the tape got her because of her body type.
We got her a temporary waiver but it only delayed the inevitable.

Fucking bullshit!

Thankfully she got a very high paying job when she went back to Utah.

The Air Force eats its young. Nevertheless, my experience with CAP cadets is they can't run an 8-9 minute mile, which I think is bullshit. They don't even take PE in school. There is a lot of fudging going on just to get people through it and I can see from that picture it goes all the way up. Plus, it isn't diversity when we take a picture of just the black females. Diversity supposed to be color blind. These women should know better than let people take advantage of them like this.

Its a common sense approach.

Enforcing your will or standards on the individual is Authoritarianism.

Some of the poses struck in the first photo don't look much like they belong in a class photo at one of the nations military academies. Some of those poses look more like they belong in a rich and diverse high school yearbook.

Diversity can be a strength if the goal of all people in the society is to join with and make the society better, while maintaining their individual identity. Lately, it seems more like many cultures want to set themselves apart from the goals of the society they emigrated into, rather than joining with that society. Other groups that are indigenous to that society try to make their part of the social culture at odds with the predominant culture, and by doing so show their disdain for the society in general. Then the society devolves into tribalism.

Sir, i agree with you on so many levels, But i see these things go south everyday and i wonder what kind of a world will i be leaving behind. i will take Japan for example(was there 6 years ago)...Very peaceful country. with less political Mumbo Jumbo. this is a result of minimal diversity.

diversity doesn't have a thing to do with excellence. Since the military has become a jobs program, diversity/affirmative action/quotas(pick your euphemism} is a logical liberal strategy.
