I was thinking last night that it would be nice to have one or two inserts for the MPA barricade block system in my manners stocks. I’m aware of the rails and the short portions that get inletted in, but I’m looking for a single threaded insert, similar to a QD stud insert. A majority of my shooting is casual mid-long range steel and predator hunting related, and I try to make a few matches every year. I don’t want to drop $500 for a barricade system I’ll use for 20 rounds a year. I also have t nuts set 1.00” apart for an arca rail or any other type of attachment, and would be open to other options as well.

suppose you could just drill/install a metal sleeve into your stock to accept the MPA barricade block. May need to releave a little extra room below the sleeve for the locking ball/detent. Maybe you could just drill through into the the barrel channel?

MPA Barricade block works by having both the barricade block and an angled mag well surface. It acts as a wedge to create stability. It's not going to work the same way on a Manners stock because it lacks the angled mag well to wedge against. Even if you had that you need all the mounting holes since the thickness of barricades varies depending on how they build them.

I'd say don't worry about it, use a Game Changer or SAP Solo Sack and practice barricade position skills instead.

I’ve got a section of pic rail to put in place of my arca rail to swap them out if need be between stages for bipod use. I don’t think I’d run the bolt on full length rail if I was given one for free. Just not my cup of tea. As far as the angled magwell goes, this is the set of blocks I intend on using, which should solve that issue. I’ve pretty well decided on making up my own inserts in the lathe. Just wanted to see if there was already a $10 insert out there before I spend the time to make them. Thanks for the input guys.
