I know STI/Staccato and Paraordinance (RIP) used to, but is anyone currently making a good double stack 2011 in 45 acp? Ideally a firm with an established track record who is unlikely to disappear in the next decade.
Thanks
Thanks
2.87 pounds empty I guess it’s not for carry so probably comparable to others. I know my dads Wilson is a heavy suckerTAC Ultra FS HC 45ACP 14rd
The TAC Ultra FS contains a tactical rail, is built with a double stack magwell with 13-round capacity, is chambered in 45 ACP with a 5Ó button rifled barrel.www.armscor.com

Thy make some spectacular guns but it's reflected in their prices.
I really wanna quote that in my sig line haha. I do carry a glock though.. I'm no Alvin York."I’ve finally just come to the conclusion that if Alvin York can put down 6 Krauts close up and in rapid succession with a single stack 1911, it’ll probably work for me."
I wonder what the guy who was leading that charge thought when he looked over his shoulder after the first five rounds missed him……I’ve finally just come to the conclusion that if Alvin York can put down 6 Krauts close up and in rapid succession with a single stack 1911, it’ll probably work for me.
Coming to the same conclusion. I wish more 1911s would get optics cuts.I’ve tried to love double stack .45’s. There’s just no way to build them where they feel as good (to me) as a single stack 1911. It’s simply a fatter, longer, round than a 9mm.
I’ve fondled FNX’s, CZ97’s, even Glocks. Brother in law had an old Para double stack .45. They all feel like a 2x4 in my hand. Even though the guns themselves can be lighter than a steel framed 1911, they still typically have a much larger footprint (and thicker) if carrying concealed is a concern.
I once made the statement that I wish Springfield would build a Prodigy double stack .45. Anymore, I don’t even think that would turn me on.

I second the Guncrafter Industries. Spendy but not Infinity spendy. And so nice…Guncrafters
