if you go by the new definition of racist people use which is making any joke or using any racial slur ever than yes you are a racist like 99.9% of people
I was informed this morning that correcting someone's false statement that an actor was not paid a single cent for his voice work because he was black (he was paid a flat fee per episode but doesn't get residuals/royalties, something to do with contract negotiations, GA's labor laws, and not being unionized/part of the Screen Actor's Guild and nothing to do with him being black) is, apparently, "projecting hate by trying to disprove a positive comment". When it was a flat-out falsehood.

Uhhh is saying the guy (I presume you mean that Blake fellow in Kenosha?) was/may have been going for a weapon the truthful "racist"/hate-spreading statement? Or is it the flat-out falsehood that it's "racist" to disprove?

What did you do/say in reply? Nothing?

Arguing in youtube comments never gets you anywhere, so in that instance I didn't do or say anything in reply. The person who deemed it "projecting hate" (I had a look at the rest of their comment history) is the sort who goes around and calls anyone who doesn't agree with the BLM narrative a racist etc; you can't talk with them folks on a comment system like youtube's. Were it someone speaking to my face or on an open chatroom or forum like the Hide, I might have wanted to continue the dialogue. As it was, I could tell it was someone you just can't break through to and who thinks that every incident of a black man being paid differently from a white man is some type of racism or other, and I just didn't feel inclined to feed the troll.

OK I thought it was an in person conversation

Suffice it to say that in that case the reply from me would have been most unpleasant. I'm not a nice guy normally, and the way things are going has made me extra asshole.

On youtube I try to be polite when I bother to make comments like that, which I rarely do unless it's something so patently false that it oughta be corrected (because of course people eat it up like pudding). In real life, I'd be polite but more... heavy handed in my attitude.

Only white people lie, everything else is truth!
