DPMS G2 Upper advice needed

So I did use the search feature and couldn't find any good info for the G2 pattern. I have a G2 hunter and I am looking at possibly just swapping out the upper on it for something that is more suitable for a cross between LR hunting as well as tactical shooting. I really want an adjustable gas block as well.
Does anyone know of someone who is making a good quality URG for these that isn't absolutely stupid expensive. I know Wyoming Arms makes some but they are about 2500 - 3K.
6.5 or 308 is ok.

Not to sure who is making a complete upper that fits the G2 platform. My thought would be to buy a new barrel and adjustable gas block and just swap barrels to what you are wanting.

Haven't seen any uppers available except the Hunter. Might have to DIY it. DPMS lists the upper receiver (out of stock). Another option would be to buy another complete gun and sell off lower and other unneeded parts. Craddock does G2 barrels.

Buy a stripped upper receiver, gas block, gas tube, g2 hand guard, and g2 barrel of your choice. Craddock precision is the go to shop for the barrel.

I am not going to buy another rifle. I may sell this one however as I have a friend selling a standard DPMS pattern rifle. I am going to research some of these barrels. Thanks

Rainer arms makes barrels for the G2 as well. I never shot that specific barrel but I’ve had great luck with many of their others.
