DPMS LR-308B or Mark 12 (7.62)

Re: DPMS LR-308B or Mark 12 (7.62)

Eniac,

My vote is for the Mark-12 for the following reasons:
1. Rifle length gas systems; This is the optimal gas arrangement for ARs. It allows for smoother gas impulse which tranlates into less finicky feeding of ammo and less felt recoil.
2. Match Trigger; The other component of accurate shooting in ARs. The other is a decent barrel.
3. Collaspsible stock; Allows you to select the proper lenght of pull for the situation. If you are in the dead of winter with several layers of clothes, a collapsible stock allows you to shorten the length of pull to your liking.
4. Railed forend; Allows you to mount your scope further fowarded if needed, mount things like lights, lasers, NVDs etc.
5. BUIS (Back-Up Iron Sights); If after buying this rifle, you need to save up for optics, you can at least get familiar with the rifle by using the buis to shoot the rifle and improve your skill with irons should your scope ever go down.

Best

I built my own based on an IRA lower with the 308B upper...just upgraded to taste. That way you can add your own trigger, upgrade parts. I think with DPMS when you choose a higher-end package, you may get better parts, but you also pay a premium for the whole package.

What's wierd is DPMS doesn't make a two stage so who's is it?
