I know there has been a lot of discussion on this topic, but I can't find those threads. Just looking for a good bag to take to the range and back. I won't be dragging it but want one with good zippers and pockets to put my stuff in (bipod, ammo ect.). My rifle is about 50" long. I am on a $150 budget though so I am looking for the "best bag for the buck" bag.

Here are a couple I found within my budget and wondering if anyone has one or what your guys' thoughts are for my situation.

Re: Drag Bag

If you have an Academy Sports in your area, they sell a retagged version in their store for $99.00 that is built very well and has many pockets for scope, binocks, ammo etc.

for around 150.00, id go with this as it's a case / mat :

sportsman's guide has a few things too.

now they are not the highest quality such as blackhawk and others, but they are decent for regular civilian use for hunting, competition, range use. i wouldn't stake my life on them but GTG for anything less for the price.

there are a few that are the same made by allen, winchester, utg.

the ones that have the large square at the bottom with the vertical zipper kinda suck, as whatever pouches they have are not really all that ergonomic. like the one on the midway link.

i had one, not bad, but the pouch set up was counter productive,

Re: Drag Bag

Just go with the Eagle. As soon as you get your hands on it, you'll see that its very high quality. Even if youre not dragging, your gun is safe in there. Get it from Triad, Steve offers great service

ugh to put stuff in, especially for a range bag. </div></div>

I just got my stryker 52" bag and I can fit everything I need for a day at the range in it.

Slinged rifle
triad and tab rear bags
cleaning rod and cleaning supplies
tools/torque wrench
ammo
I grimlock my shooting mat to the bag.

TAB gear is custom made, my 308 cover has the suppressor option, without my Shark can on it's 48 inches long, Tony is making me new cover for my new rifle, the stock is a prototype OAL is 51 inches, we all need something to protect our rifles when transporting and most of all when it's dry out and the wind is blowing, all TAB gear is designed and abused at Rifles Only before hitting the streets, Drag Bags are Tacticool but few of us need one.

congratulations, for me the stapler gun, staples, targets, spotting scope + tripod, tool kit, cleaning solution, patches, eyes and ears, pistol, extra mags, data book, notes binder, gloves, just didn't fit in it for a range do-all without having everything wind up in a pile in the corner of the bag.

Same here, you couldn't destroy the bag if you wanted.
