Drake Strike 33 dual build

Hi there this is my first post so bare with me.

I am interested in building a long range sniper/hunting rifle with a drake strike 33 chassis and am thinking of going the .338 lapua route and my question is can some one direct me to where I can find out the best action?
barrel with a muzzle brake and is the .338 lapua the route I should go? I would like to be able to fire to 1500 yards, anybody with experience with the cheytac .408? or .375?

I just finished building a POF .308 with a magpul prs, atlas bi pod/mono pod, gdi p rom l and a nightforce atacr, geiselle trigger, cca grip and I love it
but I now I feel the need for a bolt action and I love the way the drake is built with the folding stock and rail setup

also I guess I havn't really looked at pricing but I would like to know what some of your suggestions might run me..

anyway thanks a lot, I sure appreciate all the great posts in here, I have been reading for months.

As far as actions go they do have at least a partial list of actions and calibers on their website. You might email them to see if there are chassis for other actions and calibers. But the largest calibers I see listed are the 338LM and 338CIP. So you might not have the option to go higher than that unless you go with the Strike Dual 50. But check with Drake directly to be sure of your options.

If you can get a Defiance Rebel that has the same for print and pattern as the R700 that would be my suggestion. Because of the top rail you need ensure that the action has the same scope base holes machined at the factory remington. There was talk that Cadet was building a Strike chassis for the Surgeon action. Call Chris Drake and he will point you in the right direction

Just a side note, on drakes downloadable brochure they show a list of calibers and .375 and the .408 are shown. I put a email in for chris, but I'm still confused on if I buy the chassis and have to buy my action and barrel stuff separate or if drake just builds them.

Anybody point me to a good trajectory site for 338 and larger?
