Inventory is live, you can attempt to add more to your cart, and it will limit you to the quantity on hand. Also, employees have been posting updates. The initial release was on their official instagram and twitter around 8 hours ago:

It was likely 1000. They were at >400 four hours after it went live. Crazy; I hope it kills the scalper deals so they end up holding a lot of stock they paid too much for but can’t move.
