How much velocity increase can I expect from the extra 4 inches, and what would it translate to increased range? I'm placing an order today, but don't know if the extra 4 is worth it. I do shoot 1000 yards from time to time.

1.) You will have no problems getting to 1k yards with the 22". Thats what I've got with a suppressor and my father and I were ringing steel with only a couple of misses when the wind changed all day long.

2.) My custom load on my 22" runs about 2600 on a 175 smk, according to QuickLoad when the barrel is a 26" it should run about 2689. So not a major difference in my opinion.

3.) My custom load goes subsonic around 1175 yards.
