I just picked a DTI (Del-Ton Industries) M4 Nice little gun for the price, I paid 599.99 on sale so I couldn't refuse and I needed an M4. It came with no rear sight so for now I just mounted my Matech BUIS, its the same sight that was on my issue US Army M4. it kept hitting way right, I had to bring the rear sight all the way over to the left to get it on target, took it back to the shop and they said its the Ft Sight/Gas block and I should have it back in a few days, still waiting. My point is, has anyone else ever had this problem? I guess the front sight dose look tweaked, but I don't know.

Ive had this happen on a model 1 barrel. I put a low profile gas block and free float tube on it with buis, works great as my SPR-type.

My buddies S&W carbine was also a bit canted, we took the front sight off and put an armalite front sight on that clamps...its the shit. It looks identical to an f marked front sight, but clamps in the same fashion as troy's free float tubes and as such is adjustable for windage to a small degree.

Sometimes the taper/straight pins holes are not drilled in alignment with the gas hole.
Sometimes barrel manufacturers drill the gas hole slightly out of sync with the barrels feed ramps, or the feed ramps aren't perfectly cut to the gas hole.
Sometimes its an assembly problem and the barrel was overtorqued when tightened.
Either way its repairable and is only an issue if your gas tube doesnt get enough gas.
