Does anyone know if either an AR type carbine with optic or a Mcmillan A5 with bipod and 50mm objective fit in the Eberlestock A2LS Scabbard?

I have searched google with no luck. I have emailed back and forth with Bruce at Eberlestock and he helped out some but I am wanting to know if anyone on here has actually tried it.

If anyone has found a similar alternative feel free to throw it out there.

    Thanks,

What type of optic are you running on your AR? I believe I have an A2LS scabbard on hand & can see how it holds a Stag 16" M4 style carbine that wears a red dot optic.

Will try to get pics up as well so you can see the fit. Unfortunately, I don't have a rifle that wears a McMillan A5...

    Will update this thread asap...

Thanks Ceylon, I was hoping you would put some feedback up here. My AR has a Vortex 1-4 in a Larue mount. Even if you could see how a normal stock with a bipod and 50mm objective fit that would be a huge help

You got it! I have a custom Remmy 700 bolt gun in .260 that uses a McMillan HTG stock. I'll get pics of it within the scabbard as well.

Should have an update this afternoon or early evening.

    Re: Eberlestock A2LS Scabbard Question

Sorry for the delay, been a busy evening. I got some pics of the Eberlestock "Bolt Sniper" scabbard (A2LS) with three different rifles: a .223 Stag 16" Carbine with Vortex Strikefire red dot, a 6.8SPC with Cardinal upper and Millet DMS scope, and a custom Remmy 700 in .260 Remington with a McMillan HTG stock & 42mm Hawke scope. Bottom line, the scabbard will accomodate every scope & rifle combo listed above!

Hope this helps. Best of luck to you!

    Re: Eberlestock A2LS Scabbard Question

    Ceylon,

It looks like there's an option to attach backpack straps to this unit, attach pouches etc. Have you played around with it in that type configuration? Just trying to get an idea as to how comfortable it'd be carrying a rifle and minimal amout of gear & ammo around that way.

    Thanks,
    David
