What is the caliber specific impact on a projectile from a variety of rainy conditions (i.e. light rain, moderate, and drenching)for .223, .308 and .408 projectiles respectively from those of you who have extensive experience in this area? To what extent does BC compensate for such adverse weather conditions?? Same for snow (i.e. light snow, moderate, and heavy). I have not seen much written on this topic but precision shots have to be made in all sorts of weather conditions, especially by the military and LE sniper. regards, Dale.

Re: Effects of Rain/Snow on Accuracy

i've only noticed two issues. one, rain or snow makes my LRF stupid, and the other problem is when i can not see the target through the rain/snow.

Re: Effects of Rain/Snow on Accuracy

Rain does not make the bullet wet. Snow does not make the bullet cold. And BC is just math.

McCrazy, thanks for the Hide link on this topic. That's helps a lot. I searched on 'rain' but did not go back far enough date wise to see that string of posts. regards, Dale.
