ahh, i think the last guy had that happen too. cant recall how he got it out. but do call savage for the parts and someone will pop up with and idea to get that out. im guessing you cant use a punch to get it moving or get a plier on it? i gotta see it to think on it

Soak it in Kroil or similar.

Is it stuck all the way in? If you can start working it back and forth a bit it will usually get enough lube to come loose with a good smack on a work bench.

The springs can also get stuck in there. Sometimes you can fish it out with a pick, other times you'll have to drill it out.

Is it me or hast his happened a lot lately? I think three times on here and at least twice on other forums in the last few months? Craziness.

I'm curious if you could post a pic of the boltface? Perhaps of the ejector? Just for grins.

Re: ejector pin stuck in savage bolt

Hot loads or burs will do it. A tip I received here was to take a punch, very close to the ejector diameter, and after soaking the bolt face with some loosening solvent (the best is ATF and Acetone mixed 50-50)tap the ejector lightly many, many times. That will usually allow it to work its way out.
