I have one AR15, a 6.5 Grendel that requires more elevation adjustment than what the Burris 30mm can achieve at 950yds. I am looking at one piece scope mounts with 20moa built in, but can only find 1" scope tube mounts of this type. Do all 1" tubes have more or less the same amount of elevation adjustment range?

Re: Elevation Adjustment Range on 1" Tubes

LaRue LT107 mount has 30moa built in. It is a little high for a bolt gun, but should be just right for an AR platform.

Tell me about it!

Sorry folks, we did have a slight delay at one of our suppliers which pushed the 30mm model back a couple weeks. We're now looking at about 7.5 weeks until they're in stock.

This batch of 30mm models will be longer so they'll fit USO T-Pals, they'll have a matte finish and a lower price, so good things will come to those who can wait.

Ditto?

Not T-Pal, but everything else I know of. Without making the ring sections really skinny (which would have gone against design intent) I couldn't make it fit both the T-Pals and S&B PMII's with illumination. I figured in the 34mm size, many more customers will want to fit S&B.

But in 30mm, that problem didn't exist so I made them longer.

Re: Elevation Adjustment Range on 1" Tubes

Thanks Gavin S. What I'm looking for is that magic distance where I have a good cheekweld without tilting my head, while also having enough clearance under the eyepiece to accommodate a folding iron sight. My rear folding sight sits about .485" above the rail surface, and the current mount puts the bottom of the scope tube approximately .9" over the rail surface, giving a generous .135" of ocular end clearance over the folding sight. The higher the better I guess.
