Entry level ($200-$300) spotting scope- Konus still the king???

Hey guys! About a decade ago I went through this process- looked through plenty of glass, tried things, etc., and found the Konusspot to be the undisputed king when it came to spotting scopes, until you hit the > $1000 range with the Kowas, etc. (No joke, nothing in the middle even came close.) Writing to see if this is still the case- am recommending a purchase to a friend and want to see if the landscape has changed at the entry level. Anything new in town that beats Konus?

Yes, Konus is still the best quality spotters under $300.00. Great for range work
