Expedient Length of Pull Changes

I shortened my stock for optimal LOP on the bench, but now I find that it is short when shooting prone.

Any advice on quick, practical ways to solve this without dumping a ton of money on an adjustable stock?

Maybe a slip on butt pad or get some, say 1/4" neoprene sheet stock and cut some shims? That's what I did on a couple of my Mosin-Nagants.

Thanks for the ideas tomcat. How did you use the shims? Did you put them under the butt plate?

Any others ideas out there? I would like to be able to quickly change the length of pull in the field as I take the best position for the situation at hand.
