I have an extra TL3 prefit barrel amd I am wondering what else it mught be machined to fit. Can the threads be cut farther back to accept a barrel nut for a Savage action? Can it be cut for a RPR, Tikka or Remington action with a barrel nut?

Any help or suggestions are appreciated.

It can be run on the arc archimedes/nucleus with a spacer taking up some the tennon between shoulder and lug(@bohem had these a while back). Can be ran on a bighorn origin with the hunts long range recoil lug. Tikka is a 1" x 16tpi, the tl3 is 1.062"x20tpi which is Savage small shank. Rem700 is 1.062x16tpi so no go. Rpr shares same thread pattern as tikka, however it headspace against a barrel extension similar to an ar, so headspace for the shoulder would be different I am sure. Dut to most tl3 threads having an undergauge relief between tenon and shoulder, a Savage barrel nut will probably not work as it requires a longer threaded portion for nut to thread on up to receiver face.

Or you could just set the barrel back and have it fit whatever. Any Smith you probably rather do that anyway. Or you could just resell it and buy a new barrel
I don't know if I going to keep the action and move on to something different. I wasn't sure if there was an easy application to repurpose the barrel. I assume you could keep cutting the threads back to accept a barrel nut?

As long as there is enough material left. It depends on your particular contour.
