Man, I just started to lose some eye sight after 40 and cannot read shit up close anymore, but beyond 18" I can see fine. Went to the range and noticed thru my Z6 the crosshair's are looking a tad blurry just enough to irritate me.

Anyone delt with this problem yet? Did you go prescription, or just $10 reading glass's from Walgreen's? Advise appreciated.

Adjust it until it is.

Look through the scope at a plain background. Look away. Turn the ocular lens a bit, then look back through the scope. Is the reticle sharper or more blurry?

This is like the process of getting your eye examined. Repeat until the reticle is perfectly sharp as soon as you look through the scope. Don't do this process while looking through the scope, as your eye will focus to the reticle. You want the reticle as sharp and clear as possible as soon as you look through the scope.

Yep. I'm on the far end of forty now and went to the optometrist two weeks ago. I thought the same thing as you I could get a pair of magnifiers and be good for a few more years. After my exam I was informed I need some help with distance as well. I now see I was missing some detail at distances that I should have been catching... The shitty thing is I still need magnifiers - welcome to middle age.

Follow Lindy's setup for the ocular piece and if it's still blurry make yourself an appointment with your optometrist -

I'll be 64 in two months. I've been nearsighted all my life. Now I have to take off my glasses for closeup work, and reading glasses don't help.

Getting old is not for sissies.

If you have tried everything and the problem persists, is there a chance it's not the scope. If applicable, I suggest getting checked for glaucoma, cataracts, etc. Please no insult intended.
